Core documents (every application)
- Passport valid for at least 6 months beyond your planned stay, with two or more blank pages
- Passport-style photos that exactly match your destination country's specifications
- Fully completed application form with a signed declaration
- Proof of visa fee payment
- Full birth certificate, with a certified translation if requested
- Police clearance certificate from every country where you lived 6–12 months or more
Work and skilled-worker routes
- Signed employment contract or written job offer showing salary and duration
- Employer sponsorship number or work-permit reference
- University degrees with credential recognition (WES, ENIC-NARIC or ANABIN)
- Detailed CV showing month-by-month employment history
- Reference letters on official company letterhead stating duties and hours
- Language test results (IELTS, CELPIP, TEF, Goethe, DELE or CILS)
Study routes
- Final, unconditional offer letter from an accredited institution
- Tuition payment receipt or scholarship award letter
- Proof of living expenses (blocked account, bank statements or sponsor letter)
- Transcripts and previous certificates with translations
- Student health insurance certificate
Family and partner routes
- Marriage or civil-partnership certificate, or proof of a stable relationship
- Evidence of a genuine relationship: photos, travel, messages, joint bills
- Sponsor's income documents and tax returns for the required period
- Proof of suitable accommodation (lease or property deed)
- Children's birth certificates and any custody or consent documents
Money, housing and health
- 6–12 months of bank statements showing the required minimum balance
- Payslips and tax returns for the last one to three years
- Proof of accommodation in the destination country
- Comprehensive health insurance meeting the country's minimum coverage
- Medical exam or TB test from an approved clinic
